Ce mode de transport, pilier de notre industrie, se trouve au centre de la multimodalité. Il focalise l’attention de tous les acteurs, ce que la conférence inaugurale est venue confirmer. Je vous invite d’ailleurs à lire l’interview que Denis Choumert, président de l’AUTF, a accordée à SITL Daily. Il explique notamment pour quelles raisons, avec France Supply Chain, ils ont créé l’association Low Carbon Maritime Transport destinée à assurer des liaisons régulières entre la France et les Etats-Unis sur des voiliers cargos.
La SITL n’oublie pas ce qui fait l’essence de notre secteur : l’innovation. Tournées vers l’avenir, toutes les entreprises présentes sur cette 39e édition l’ont placée au cœur de leur stratégie, ce que nous rappelle dans une autre interview Fabien Esnoult, président et fondateur de SprintProject, notre partenaire pour la quatrième année consécutive. Je vous invite à assister à deux événements très attendus, devenus incontournables au fil des années : la finale du Start-Up Contest, programmée en fin de matinée, et la remise des cinq récompenses du 22e Prix de l’innovation, dont les résultats seront dévoilés dans l’après-midi. Encore une fois, les participants ont rivalisé d’ingéniosité pour inscrire leur nom au palmarès et les délibérations du jury promettent d’être compliquées. Hello and welcome to the third day of SITL 2022, centring on the theme of maritime and river transport. This mode of transport, a pillar of our industry, is at the heart of multimodality. It is a focus for all industry players, which was confirmed in the inaugural conference.
